Hiya!

I was looking for a good site/blog to start and this one seems pretty good!

I am starting this site because I am in the process of getting into photography (like making plans to make plans). I’ve always loved taking pictures and decided a long time ago I wanted people to start paying me to do so. Kidding! (well, kind of)

It’s not about the money. Not even a little. I just want to capture the moments that mean the most to people. The real moments. The kind you want to stick in your pocket forever and pull out for a peek when you need a smile.

My little sister (she’s 22 but will always be little to me) is an incredible photographer but she is not a people-person like her big sis. She can (and does) take a picture of a leaf, a field, or insect and it looks like it should honest-to-goodness be in National Geographic.

I, on the other hand, have no desire to take pictures of fields, or insects. Not primarily, anyway. I want to take pictures of people. Babies, couples, engagements, birthday parties. You know, what everyone else does.

I’ve already got a hold of some friends and told them I want to do some practice on them so hopefully in the near future so I will have some pictures up and I can start discovering my “style”.

So in a medium sized nutshell, that’s what I’m aiming for.
